Other Projects

As part of our ongoing development, education and commemoration plan Finding the Forgotten are planning to develop and build interactive education and commemoration units. The units will be themed to look as if they are part of the Great War. Each unit will have a touch screen and a user friendly easily accessible menu. The user will be able to select from a number of areas such as: tell me about the Great War where actors will portray local servicemen and tell of their experiences during the conflict. The fallen of the local area will be commemorated enabling the user to follow a journey from their homes to the front. It will also contain maps showing where the fallen lived and where they died. The gallery will keep a record of local memorials and buildings which were associated with the Great War. The base unit will include a touch box of artefacts such as medals, a helmet and documents from the Great War. It is hoped the first units will be available in June 2012.
